So my thought process was: 1. disconnect the fridge thermostat, and connect hot & neutral to the STC1000 cooling terminal. 2. splice hot & neutral to the STC1000 main power. 3. ferment beer. So I cut a hole in the door of the fridge, took out the old fridge thermostat which looked like this.
A refrigerator compressor is a type of compressor that is used to compress refrigerant gas in a refrigerator or freezer. The compressor is a vital refrigeration cycle component that lets the fridge cool its contents. The fridge compressor works similarly to a regular compressor, but it is designed specifically for use in a refrigeration system.
Drop down the control box in the ceiling of the refrigerator to access the thermistor. Examine the thermistor's wire harness for damage or loose connections. If the wiring harness looks okay, let’s check the resistance of the thermistor using a multimeter. Remove the thermistor and put the meter leads on the two white wires.
Use the temperature up and down buttons to adjust the temperature settings. The refrigerator should have separate buttons for this purpose from those of the freezer. So, locate the arrow button pointing down on the refrigerator side and press it until you reach your desired point. If the refrigerator uses a control dial, turn the knob to a
The thermostat regulates the internal temperature of your refrigerator by prompting the compressor to turn on or off; it is the thermostat that can detect the slightest temperature variations. Your compressor is the hard-working, all-star device behind your refrigerator’s cooling system.
The ice acts as an insulator, making the refrigerator work twice as hard to try and stay cool. Defrosting solves the problem of ice build-up on the evaporator by melting the frost. When the atmosphere surrounding the frost-covered evaporated rises above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the frost will begin to melt. Some of the early model refrigerators
