These are just a few elites- there are plenty more non-elites and cross profession skills and builds like E/Mo ER.
Every class is the best class to do everything.* *Everyone has different playing styles, and YMMV depending on how you gel with particular combat tactics and philosophies. Simply, make three characters and complete all three 'newbie' storylines. It doesn't really matter what order you do them in, but you can start from Prophecies if you want, that's fine. Play Prophecies on one of the original six classes from the start in Ascalon all the way to Lion's Arch.
