Try behind the starter motor, I use a 8mm (I think) bar bent at 40mm and about 70 degree angle with a 200mm length to hold it. you slip that behind the starter, find the hole and wiggle the crank at TDC until it slips in. The pin goes through the engine casting and into the flywheel thereby locking the crank at TDC.
